Most of these suggestions will be implemented in build 1626, see

Disabling Title has been shot down as well: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view. ... 563#c35113 I've commented on it once more: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view. ... 867#c35127

All node under Title has been shot down, and I can see why. All node under Album presents all Albums (not all files) whereas All node under Title would present all Files which the root All node already does: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view. ... 740#c35114

How is it inconsistent? It shows all files shared over UPnP. It isn't the Title's All node (as far as I can see and for which feedback has been given in Mantis). It is the root All node. Why would you need to have to go into a subnode if you wanted to see All files. Having it in the root eliminates one step (which is a good thing for UPnP).

I didn't say the first [All] didn't behave correctly; I said it was inconsistent to show it where it appears, compared with how [All] appears for the other nodes.

MMW wishlist items should be files in the wishlist forum. MMW beta bugs should be filed in the Beta Forum.

Note that Title is shared if the Collection has Title enabled. Have you made sure the Collection doesn't have Title enabled?

For me the first [All] entry lists all files (behaves as I would expect. Title doesn't have an [All] entry (it never did) (http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view. ... 740#c35104). The Title node is shown when disabled in the Collection (http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=10563)

Ah, yes, you are right; most of what I'm talking about is more pertinent to MMW than MMA.

Displaying the index items in a grid, however, is MMA-specific.

It's up to the server to determine how it presents information to the client. Are you using MediaMonkey as UPnP server?

1) At the top-level of Music, I have:

Code: Select all

[All]
Title
Album Artist
Album
Year
Rating
Location
My UPnP server is not configured to share Title, so I'd rather not see that; maybe that's a bug? I think I didn't see Title with 1624.
But: the [All] at the top of the list is the [All] for Title. This is inconsistent with the other nodes (such as Album), where the [All] appears within the screen. That [All] should be seen when you enter the Title screen

2) When you get into a node with an index, instead of two screens:

Code: Select all

[All]
[By Letter]
and then (from By Letter)

Code: Select all

[A]
[B]
[C]
[D]
...
How about one screen in a grid instead of a list:

Code: Select all

[All] [A] [B] [C]
 [D] [E] [F] [G]
....
3) Instead of a separate index node for every different punctuation mark (I have eleven different punctuation categories covering about fifty song titles), have a single [symbol] entry.

4) For names that begin with Roman letters with diacriticals, I'd like to see them included in the base-letter configuration: put Ö under O, for instance.

I'd be curious to know how effective that index scheme is for someone with a lot of Chinese titles in their library.
