As always, I only use wi-fi; I haven't plugged the tablet in for months.
Possibly that wi-fi only connectivity is responsible for this symptom.
Today I upgraded to MMW 1671 and MMA 185. I went into the options of MMA: both the External and Internal storage profiles showed as "Never synced" but the External profile, which was brand new with MMA 182, had actually been sync'd a couple times. There was no problem establishing the sync and using the same profile in MMW -- and, after syncing, the album that was removed from the tablet but still showed in the autoplaylist, was no longer in the autoplaylist.
Hopefully, I edited the options to remove two albums and add one more, and those were deleted and copied over correctly; but the autoplaylist continues to show the recently deleted albums. Only the album that was removed using 182 has been removed from the autoplaylist.
