I didn't said it is not possible to make, but rather not implemented and MMA depends on system setting :(

Anyway, I'll direct/notify this to MMA dev. team for evaluation.

But playerPro does it and my ebook reader is controllable by the volume buttons, too.

Hardware commands are defined by system or Service apps that can control its behavior. There is no way to define custom behavior in MMA.

I'd love an option to map the hardware buttons to specific functions. At the moment you can skip a song with long pressing volume up/down. But I'd like something like pressing up and down simoultaniously to pause for example.
