Yes, transfer works correctly now. Thanks!

This was fixed with MMW 1644 (against MMA 145+). Please confirm.

Thanks!

Hi, you seem to be right that MMA transferred only 10878976 bytes from 13842432.
There is definetly something wrong in MMA for transcoded files although I have not been able to replicate the issue.

Tracked as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=10977

BTW: Which encode settings/quality for the MP3 do you use?

Just a bump with a little new info.

My test file that I've been using is in FLAC format. If I transfer that file without transcoding in wifi or USB, it is successful. If I apply transcoding to either mp3 or ogg (the only 2 I tried), the resulting file is clipped at the end. A USB sync including transcoding to mp3 works correctly and results in a 13.21MB file. Using exactly the same settings and a wifi sync clips the file and, although MMA still reports the file is full length, it results in a file that is 9.93MB. I cannot verify that the file size is always exact, but I can say that the file is always truncated in exactly the same location with the same mp3 transcode settings. I don't believe this has anything to do with connectivity or transfer rate as there are no messages to indicate that and the clip is always in exactly the same location.

A bit more info that may be relevant. I keep my tracks in FLAC format on a file server. When I transfer from MMW to MMA I use an auto convert rule to transcode to 192kbps mp3. I just attempted to modify the rule so it would simply copy the track in FLAC format. The track copied completely and the file played correctly on MMA, but when the file was being transferred, the progress bar stopped around half way through, didn't display anything for several seconds, then started over at 0% and increased to ~30% before reporting complete. I didn't notice anything in the MMW debug log, but could upload it and/or MMA debug log if that would help.

I did a little snooping through the MMW log and it looks to me like something funny is going on with the transfer. The read lines don't get up to the full file length in offset values. I don't have any way to assess where the track would end based on the offset that is displayed, but it seems feasible that this is the reason the tracks don't fully transfer.

Select a single song in MMW and add to static playlist. Source file is FLAC without any known glitches (audibly sounds perfect but have not run any software tests). MMW set to transcode file into mp3 format during sync. Connect via wifi and select and sycn proceeds correctly. MMW reports track as 7:02 as does MMA. When playing in MMA, track sounds correct but stops at 4:46. Connected via USB and played track in MMW from device. Track sounds correct when played but MMW reports track is 4:45.
