Just ran it again and I got the following this time:

Sync pressed - 00:00
Waiting for server - 00:00 -> 01:02
Analysing Sync List - 01:02 -> 01:28
Uploading - Synchronising playlists - 01:28 -> 01:47
Error message appeared - 01:47

Hi Peke - here are the findings from this morning in as much detail as I've got:

Following pressing the sync button on the Android phone, the timings (elapsed on stopwatch) were:
Sync pressed - 00:00
Waiting for server - 00:00 -> 01:12
Analysing Sync List - 01:12 -> 02:01
Uploading - Synchronising playlists - 02:01 -> 15:02
Error message appeared - 15:02

The error was "Synchronization completed with errors" "Server was unable to convert some tracks, please check autoconversion and codec settings on server side."

I have uploaded the logs from the android phone which are ref: 8IRH6R61LD

Can you please be more detailed (as much as possible no matter how simple it sounded) what did MMA done to Sync, how many files/playlists, WiFi connection speed, ...

Just tested this and the "analysing sync list" bit took 7 minutes using MMW 4.1.0.1658 & MMA 1.0.4.0164. Certainly an improvement.

Unfortunately no difference for me - still takes 13 mins for "Analysing Sync List" stage.

How do you know what works for me imagehopper did I say that before for mma ? I do it for mmw but mma only works for limited items when I use tap1 cleaner app.
Still it couldn't hurt here either.

Hi Peke - I've just uninstalled MMA, deleted the relevant directories and re-installed version 1.0.4.162 as well as upgrading to MMW 4.1.0.1656 on the server and have observed the following timings using WiFi sync (4000 songs):

Waiting for remote server - 1:01 min
Analysing Sync List - 12:26 min
Syncing - 0:00 (nothing to sync)

I have sent the MMA logs with ref HTQA6673VP

Mine took over 2 hours to sync. Of course it a fresh sync of over 40 GB over wifi.

Same issue for me on Galaxy S3 + MMW 4.1 + MMA v1.0.4.0156.

Just timed this and it is as follows:
Connecting: 5 seconds
Waiting Remote Server: 1 minute
Analysing Sync List: 12 minutes 20 seconds
Downloading: 5 minutes

if I connect over USB, the sync starts after about 20 seconds.

I'm not sure if this is normal, but when I do a wifi sync it takes a minute or so to connect to the server, then about 10 minutes in the "Analysing Sync list..." phase. Versions are MMW 4.1.0.1646 and MMA 1.0.4.0156. This happens even if there's nothing to sync. Hardware is a HTC One phone and fairly recent 64-bit Windows 2008 server. Database has around 4000 tracks. Is this speed normal?
