I just did this, but I clicked Send before remembering to note down the log ID, sorry.

As of 168, this is regressed: the checkboxes seem to operate correctly, but now my folder of unwanted tracks has been included, altho it is deselected in the options. And I've tried selecting and then unselecting, the tracks still appear.

Yes, this is working correctly now; the folder I don't want included, is not included.

Sonny C / vcise: folders can't be deselected if MMW is configured to sync to that particular folder. e.g. if the sync destination folder is configured in MMW as /Movies then that folder can't be deselected. We'll add an error to better communicate this eg. "This folder can't be disabled because it's configured for synced content."

mcow: re. "the folder I want deselected, the folder is shown as deselected but the items from that folder have been picked up by MMA." is that still occurring in build 165? Can you give more details? Thanks.

bigkid / vcise: I'm unable to replicate not being able to check off unchecked folders on an S3, but I'm tracking this issue at #11235 as well. vcise, can you elaborate re. which specific folders? Does it occur with the latest build? What version of Android?

rva: If a parent folder is checked, all child directories are (or should be) scanned. Are you saying that not all content was scanned? Re. disappearing music collection, that's a different issue--does it still occur in build 165 (there were fixes re. external card handling as described here http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11256).

Cannot select folders for scanning ASUS Transformer T201

by bigkid » Wed Sep 11, 2013 6:09 am

Hi all.

Long time user of MMW but only just noticed MMA. Downloaded the latest version (1.0.4.0162) and installed on my ASUS Transformer T201 running Android 4.1.1. I have my music in a number of locations: sdcard0/music; sdcard0/My Music; and MicroSD sdcard1/Music. On opening MMA scans for music and finds the first and third folders but not the second. So I then attempted to add that folder for scanning. However, when I go into 'Choose Library Folders', while I can see the folders I cannot select them. MMA just ignores the selection. I can also not deselect any of the folders that have been automatically selected.

Appreciate any advice.

Regards,

Allan

PS - Thanks Lowlander, I missed this thread in my initial search.

The same problem - can't manage watched folders, tapping on a small square does nothing. Some of them are selected (first several folders), all other music is not. The selection appeared after I tried to add all my "Music" folder to a pay list. MMA was showing a rotating circle for some time and found some music.

Related (I think) to this is the whole music collection disappearing from MMS. The sequence:
Sync from MMW, can play and see all my playlists and music, MMA database size is around 6MB, life is good.
Reboot, Android is refreshing the mediastore, MMA database becomes < 1MB after launching, no music is present in MMA but all MP3 files are still on the External SD. Fiddling with all the folders (sequencing them for playing) can return some music back to MMA, but only 775 out from 4430 in my case
---------------------------
MMA 1.0.4.0162
MMW 4.1.0.1656
Phone LG E-980, stock latest firmware, Android 4.1.2
All music (4430 files) is on the external 64GB SD Card

Can't select library folders

by vcize » Fri Sep 06, 2013 12:40 pm

Version 1.0.4.0162 running on a Galaxy S3.

When I try and select my library folders, clicking on the checkbox causes it to flash but does not actually change it (IE if it was already checked, it remains checked. If it was unchecked, it remains unchecked).

I also see that, for the folder I want deselected, the folder is shown as deselected but the items from that folder have been picked up by MMA.
