Yes, it did generate an automatic error report, which I sent a few minutes before I submitted the original post.

I'll see if I can get you a debug log from the MS DbgView tool...

Either by playlist -> send to -> burn CD, or ctrl-shift-D, it crashes: Pauses for a few seconds, then puts up the error message, saying 'Control " has no parent window'. Also, FWIW - it creates another tab in the libray browser for the playlist I'm working on, but the tab shows up empty.
It does this every time - very repeatable, can't burn a CD!!
Also, no hpCDE.log file found.
