I'm assuming the request is to:
1) show track# / total # on the Now Playing > Album Art view. (tracked at #11355 )
2) show play stats in track properties (and in the list view if there's room to do so) (tracked at #11022)

Not sure I understand you correctly can you supply few screenshots showing the steps and feature you wanna change/add?

IMHO would be really nice to see current song number and the size of a current playlist. I created a new playlist and can't figure out if I listened to it couple of times already or still didn't hear all the songs on it. Plus if you switch playlists and want to return back to where you were, it's much easier to do by remembering the last song's number than the name of an artist and title.
