A 4. option would may be a smart playlists on MMW + option how they get displayed (in this case by albums) + ability to add them to the start screen + choose icon and name for it. This would be an extended version (as I can create an album view only containing my most preferred genre), and would fulfill the needs for more users who like a smart playlist. But it probably would be the most time consuming solution.

Solution 1 would be something I could live better with than now, but nothing fully satisfying for a large library (which is something MM stands for) as the finding a specific album would be more difficult (when you have no clue how many tracks that album has)

One feature that we're planning on is to add sorting. So in the Albums view, you could sort by #tracks so that 'full' albums could be displayed at the top.

Another possibility would be to add some sort of checkbox config item in the Albums view, to limit Albums displayed to those containing > x tracks. BUT I don't like that because a) the UI would be a hack and b) in the absence of visual feedback re. the filter, it could be confusing as to why some albums aren't displayed (we could add visual feedback, but I'm not sure if there's room).

A third option would be to allow you to create a search for full albums, and provide an option to filter playlists (in the same manner as e.g. Genres are currently filtered). But that would be confusing as well, as playlists would display out of order.

Ideas?

[REQ] Filter (for all views)

I feel a little bad starting so many topics today. But I still have an important request, even I don't see that implemented very soon.

I auto-sync all songs with ratings from 4 to 5. Beside that I have selected full albums. No matter what view, it's always pretty chaotic, as for every full album there are 10 entries with only 1 or 2 songs.

I either want to listen to my favorite tracks (which I can manage with different smart playlists, e.g. all 4+ stars or all 4+ stars of a specific genre) or listen to a full album (way to many albums to manually create a playlist for each of one).

The best way I can think of to get a nice list of full albums would be a filter to get rid of all albums with only 1-2 tracks. The alternative way, but a lot less satisfying, would be to sort by track count.

I wonder who else bangs his head against the wall because of that problem :D
