should have mentioned that I use Windows 7, very basic with all added extras stripped out to allow for best performance.

Settings lost, restore doesn't work

Hi Monkeys,

My music machine lost it's settings and thought it was a new install.

I have a backup (trixmoto's), so ran restore. Even though I can see the DB & ini files are restored MM hasn't picked up the settings. My setup is a little different for backup reasons. The DB has been named to MM_Music.DB and lives in a folder with the ini file, however even when opening this file MM doesn't show the playlists and music files. The ini file does have the DBName line added. But when I run restore I wonder what I should answer to the "Enter Windows User Directory" given that my config for MM is unusual. I have been leaving this (and the next "Enter MediaMonkey Directory") as the default, should it be the location of the DB?

Or perhaps something has been overwritten in the registry, it looks OK to me. What should check?

Thank you.............................liz
