Are you running MMA on your droid? If yes, the .m3u settings shouldn't even make a difference since MMW syncs the playlist information to the DB.

Or are you using some other application to play the music?

Yes, I am running MMA on the droid. Actually got the issue resolved. Synced via wifi instead of usb and now it works fine.
so the sync is not able to use the usb cord now? that's why i still can't get m3u playlists i only get .pla for them and mma does not know what that is.
strange to have it flip to sync with wifi and not usb also.?

I had same exact problem only I concluded that the USB sync is not working properly. Everything has been fine since I have been using Wifi only.

MMA Version 1.0.4.0222
MMW Version 4.1.0.1689

Had the same issue.
Checking the box "use extended M3U" resolved it for me.

I mean under Options > Playlists in the Device Profile. This is where you set options for the playlist creation on the device. You need to have enabled this to get the playlist itself on the device.
Lowlander,
The boxes I have checked here are: "Sync Playlists", "Force relative paths", and "Use unicode". Should I have any other items checked?

OK, I installed MM 4.1 and performed another sync. Same deal. Still no playlists listed in the playlist tab. HELP!

Just to clarify, the playlists are visible and work fine on the PC. My sync settings are set to only sync the two playlists. All of the included songs make it to the Droid total library, but not as playlists.

Rusty,
I just visited www.mediamonkey.com and 4.0.7 is the newest version available to download. Where do you find 4.1?
Thanks!

Lowlander, yes I have that option enabled. In fact, I performed a sync and it appeared to work properly. All of the songs from both playlists did transfer to my Droid and they all show up under the entire library list. However, if I want to play a specific playlist, there are none listed under the "playlist" tab on the Droid.

Hi Xmania,

I see that you used MediaMonkey for Windows 4.0.7 to sync. You need to install MMW 4.1!

Using MediaMonkey Beta for my Droid Razr Maxx and MediaMonkey version 4.0.7xxx on PC with Windows 7. Started from scratch by deleting all music on my phone. Synced two playlists from PC to Droid. All of the songs, artists, and albums appear on Droid under those appropriate tabs, but when I select the "Playlist" tab, it is empty.

I've spent WAY too much time trying to figure out what I think should be something very simple!

Anyone have suggestions?
