Send the log to support, it should help start the investigation why this is happening.

Not sure what you mean by conversion rule. as we moved to "You can try a manual conversion..." simply used the deafults .. .

To make a good file go bad i simply

Select the file
Tools->Conversion
Convert Files pops up ...
'Convert file(s), replacing the originals'
Format defaults to AVI

Format settings says:
Video codec: xvic (MPEG-4)
Max size: Original; Conversion quality: 50%; Bitrate: 814kbts

Audo codec: LAME Audio Encoder
Bitrate: 128kbits; Sample Rate: 44100Hz; Channels: 2

Then simply press OK. Everytime it comes up with black screen but audio.

I will do this again with fresh start and put it all in a log. then send to devs

What conversion settings did you use?

I tried the conversion ..
before conversion

Audio, MP3, 2 Channel, 48000 Hz, 128 kbps

After conversion
"Spitfire Grill - 1996.avi"
Video, MPEG4(DIVX), 480x270 (16:9), 29.97 fps, 882 kbps
Audio, MP3, 2 Channel, 48000 Hz, 128 kbps

The file size is down to 112.1mb where the old one was 850.8 .. oh my .. and there is no picture.

I guess I will have to do a log of both the conversion and the sync unless there is a great idea coming

You can try a manual conversion on your PC and see if the file still fails to convert (maybe have DBGView capture this).

By the way they both play quite well so i know the codecs are working

I have have 2 files in my playlist that gets sync'd to my Note10.1. One works and one doesn't and the differences are so small I don't understand why.

Is the kbps really causing the problem?
