You could capture the problem auto-organizing not removing the original in a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support if you seem to have all the needed rights: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=69

"Sounds like you lack remove rights from the source folder.
Try excluding - in your search (so search auto organize)."

Yeah, finally realized that searching on auto-organize might mean searching for all appearances of auto that don't have the word organize!

Finally searched on organize.

Regarding remove rights, I am logged in as admin, but I will check properties on those folders.

I found a work-around, which works most of the time.

In the Directory Tree, instead of doing this from the directories under Podcast, Subscriptions, I page down to the actual drive location where they are stored.

The Move function works most of the time, but it seems to always leave some files behind when using this method. When I try moving again, the files only disappear from the directory they are moved from when I answer Yes to overwrite them in the new directory, since they were already there anyway.

Since there is no separation between moving the files and deleting the empty directory, once it is all done I have to create a new directory for my dar.fm podcasts to download to!

AND, all the moved files still show in the Podcast/Subscriptions/folder

This gets very complicated.

Auto-Organize move function

First, the search function on this forum seems to be down. When I search for auto-organize, I get this response:

"No posts were found because the word auto-organize is not contained in any post."

In an earlier post (filter dar.fm podcasts into different directories?) I answered my own question about organizing podcasts.

I created 3 new folders, and used auto-organize to move the files from the main folder that dar.fm downloads to.

Problem is, after moving them, the files still appear in the old folder. Also when Media Monkey looks at the old (main folder) it also shows the files in their new locations, so doing any subsequent file moving gets messier and messier as time goes on.

Any solution to this? I tried using Maintain Library to perhaps clean this up, but it doesn't solve the problem.

Note, I am using the Move, not the Copy function.

Any hints?
