Just a note, Creative appears to have remedied this problem in the recent 1.40 firmware release for the Vision:M.

2 Characters missing on Creative playlists

Hi,

We looked into this further and it looks like its a bug in the new creative firmware.

I'm going to get in touch with Creative to let them know.

You are correct, it is the two last characters that are lost on the Vision:M as well. My original note that the number of truncated characters was random was incorrect.

Glad you were able to observe the problem, thanks for checking.

Playlists missing characters

Thx. I was kind of able to reproduce this using the Vision (not Vision:M).

When viewing playlists stored to the device within MM, the last 2 characters of the playlist name are always truncated with the new firmware.

Truncated Playlists on Vision:M after 1.30 firmware upgrade

Currently using 2.5.2.948 RC-2...

Have noticed that after flashing my Zen Vision:M with the new (as of the last few days) 1.30.02 firmware, MediaMonkey displays truncated playlist names when displaying MediaMonkey playlists that have been transferred to and are resident on the player (only playlist names on the player are corrupt, the PC-resident playlists display OK.) The playlist name is truncated after an apparently random number of characters in MM. The playlist names display properly when viewed on the Vision:M.

The problem was definitely not present prior to the upgrade, and although I cannot be sure the issue above is related to the upgrade is does seem to be coincident. Restarting MM, resetting the player, etc. do not cure.

Can anyone else duplicate?
