[Resolved]Class. Mus. type single file to Now Playing oddity

by MMFrLife » Sun Aug 17, 2014 9:53 pm

Yes!, that's it. Thank you, Peke! Switching to classical just slipped my mind

However, I did notice another little oddity in the wording/functioning of one of the other settings.
"CLear List and Play Selected + Subsequent (this is what it was on)
This does "exactly" what is "said", but it is odd that it also loads all the tracks in the file list previous to
the one selected. If using the previous tracks aren't what you are asking it to do, why does it load them also?

[edit] Ok, I just figured it out. If no previous is what you want, you have to also limit # of previous files to retain to "0" in Now playing
option if you choose the above setting. 8)

Hi Are you both sure that you have changed playback rules for Classical music not just for Music?

.

I also tried earlier what I think is similar to what you are saying (tested collection environment instead of just type label).

I changed single classical file to music then switched to music collection. I found the class. file that had been changed and changed
it back to Classical. I first clicked on a file next to it and it loaded as a single. I then clicked on classical file (still in music collection environment)
and it caused "everything" to load in along with it.

Thanks for confirming problems with this dtsig. It's not sounding so obscure anymore.

Anyone else care to try?

1709 here. I clear now playing .. turn off auto-dj.
Select classical tree note and d-click on any item .. POW it pops all classical into now playing. I then tried this with MUSIC node and dclicked on an title that is Classical & progressive and the same thing happened .. ALL music went into the playlist.

I then tried the same with just rock as genre and that one track replaced all the items in Now Playing. One and only one.

Note that tools/options/player/playback rules/music IS set to 'Play selected files only'

Seems odd with classical

Yes, the official release. I haven't updated to 4.1.4 yet though.

[Resolved]Class. Mus type single file to Now Playing oddity?

I have all my now playing settings set to only load a single file into Now Playing on double click from file list.
This works great for all types except Classical Music.

When I click on a single file of this type, the entire file list loads into Now Playing. I even cleared NP and "selected all" Classical and retyped it to music
and it loaded a single file to NP just fine. Changed it back and it reverted back to wrong behavior.

I'm using .1707b and want to update to .1709 anyway. I just wanted to see if anyone else out there has ever experienced this type of behavior.
It's probably some obscure bug.
