Problems with some HQ WAV files should be already fixed in our latest beta release. You can download it here.
In case there will be still some problems with some files, please upload the problematic file (using some file sharing service as Dropbox etc.) and post link to the support ticket. Thanks.

The first track was mastered by a different mastering engineer to the rest, the likelihood is that it's something to do with the way it's been mastered from this evidence. Plays in windows media player but not in media monkey.
That happens to be the album I'm having trouble with as well. Odd.

Thank you- I was able to open the support ticket.

I've been able to convert the file to a 24-bit FLAC using a separate program. The FLAC file plays in MediaMonkey, so this will be a usable workaround for the time being.

Yes, it's too large, you'll need to upload to a service like dropbox and provide the link in your ticket.

For the cross-site issue it's recommended to delete the cookies from MediaMonkey: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... it=forgery

I'm getting the following errors when trying to open a support ticket:
We encountered a problem (cross-site request forgery detected); please try again
Sorry, we encountered a problem (invalid department). Please start over.

The file zipped is about 73 MB in size- is it too large to attach to the ticket?

I suggest you send the file to support as likely it's a file issue: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ets/Submit The developers will be able to analyze and determine what the issue is.

I'm using Windows 8.1 on a Surface Pro 3 at the moment, but I've also tested this on my desktop computer also running Win 8.1. I had the same result in both cases- the file plays in other media players, but not MediaMonkey.

Thank you for the link- I tested some of the WAVs there and they worked within MediaMonkey. I didn't consider that it could be a file-related issue since the file in question played in other media players, but that looks like it might be the case.

I have only the one of these types of files at the moment; it was a bonus for an online preorder listed as a 24-bit WAV. Looking at it closer, I found that I was mistaken on the sample rate- it is 44100Hz rather than 192kHz. Could this be an issue?

We are not able to reproduce this issue. Tried Super Hi Definition files from http://www.naimlabel.com/musicstore-test-files.aspx and all play fine in MM4.
What audio hardware do you use? Could you try it with some other one? And what OS? Thanks.

I'm having this problem as well. I've looked through the forums and tried some of the suggestions like using out_asio.

I'm using version 4.1.4.1709, and have tested out_MMDS, out_WASAPI, and out_wave. Each will play other music files (MP3, FLAC, 16-bit wav for example) but not 24-bit wav. Other media programs such as VLC and Windows Media Player can play the files. Is there a configuration step within MediaMonkey that I'm missing?

Which version of MediaMonkey are you using? Also did you set the correct Audio Device in the Output Plug-in settings?

(note that waveOut is reported to be old and doesn't support some high quality formats).

I can play hi-res files through MM without any issue.

24bit 192kHz WAV and FLAC files [#12184]

Hi,

I started to make transfers of old records. In order to have headroom for remastering I work with 24bit 192kHz files in WAV and FLAC.

With none of the 3 included output options I managed to playback 24bit 192kHz files. Does MM really do not play those high resolution files?! If so, that's a must for the Wishlist.

thx,
Bernhard
