I would love to use MMA as a UPnP player, but can't as my use case is at night in bed, when my PC, and therefore MMW is turned off.

I play using Bluetooth headphones, pulling from a DLNA server running on my NAS. BubbleUPnP scrobbles using the client apps. It is a pity that this feature is still missing from MMA.
I see that this is fixed now, thanks.. :D

I agree that this now looks like it's working - great work with the fix

Build 341 is indeed scrobbling as expected, thanks for the fix!

Yes, there is a case for both.

Is this on the schedule or wishlist or whatever?

I don't mind an option in MMA to scrobble UPnP plays, but it definitely needs to remain on the server as there are so many UPnP clients without scrobbling capability.

I agree with Barry on that. Scrobbling should take place in the player, not in the server.

What's the status of UPnP scrobbling using any of the three client scrobblers?

It's being worked on--hopefully for build 340 which should be today or tomorrow.

Thanks!

From the build-338 announcement:
This should cover the majority of the regressions in 1.1.0
Not this regression.

Please fix this. Without scrobbling, I need to use a different player.

I also tried using the native lastfm scrobbler this morning but this doesn't work either

I'm seeing the same problem with Simple Last.fm. Plays from local media not scrobbling.
Simple's options showed MediaMonkey checked as a recognized player; I unchecked and re-checked, just for luck.
Also unchecked and re-checked MMA's scrobble option.
MMA build 331; Android 4.2.2.

The MMA option to scrobble through scrobble droid is still ticked.

I don't know what you mean by checking the droid app to see if MMA is still to scrobble. The relevant checkboxes are ticked but when I play anything, nothing appears in the droid box at the bottom 'tracks waiting to be scrobbled'

Did you check the Scrobble Droid App to see if MMA is still allowed to scrobble as well as confirm it's enabled in the MMA options?

Since the 1.1 Android build a couple of days ago, MMA doesn't seem to be scrobbling my plays to last.fm

I'm using scrobble droid which has never seemed to cause me any issues until now. Is this the best way to go or is using the lastfm client better?
