Thanks Rusty.

The problem is that Replay Gain tags aren't read by Android (and MMA doesn't yet have it's own tag parser), and I'm not sure whether there's a standard mechanism to share this metadata over UPnP.

But we'll have a look...

UPnP Playback: Does not adjust volume [#12444]

by Bluesky » Fri Dec 19, 2014 8:08 am

Hi
I noticed that UPnP playback on MMA plays the songs much louder than the same track that is synced/downloaded onto my Android device.

In the MMA options > Playback > Volume leveling - on or off affects the playback volume of locally stored tracks, but does not adjust the volume of the same tracks via UPnP from my MM library. They are volume level analyzed in MM library.

Also, I am serving the tracks directly from the MM library with no conversion, so it won't fix it to use the Level Volume When Converting Audio option in the UPnP server setup.

Thanks,
Dave Bluesky
