Hi. I'm evaluating new media players/organizers. I'm a DJ and tagging/metadata is all important to organize. I will need access to the following WMA datadata in an editor as I use them constantly in my work.
WM/BeatsPerMinute
WM/ContentGroupDescription
Both of these fields are accessable and editable in WMP 10. But I've outgrown it. My 1000+ files I use for DJing have this data (the other 9000 files I have don't but I still need a good organizer). It is important for me to continue that access to those fields.
Can MediaMoney access these? I haven't any luck in the UI or manipulating the [CustomFields] of the .ini file so far using version 2.5.2.950.
In MP3 files, I need access to the equivalent. MediaMonkey does appear to access the TBPM field. But it doesn't seem to access the TIT1 (content group description as defined at
http://www.id3.org/).
Ideas? Workarounds? Improvements?
BTW, other than Foobar2000, I've yet to see a media manager that will allow the customer to create columns (or db fields) and have them map to metadata in the music files. Sure would be great to see a commercial app like Media Money consider this since you can't please everyone. Therefore, don't. Let the customer customize it.
