We can't replicate the first issue, but are tracking it at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=12677 since there was another similar report (with a log).

Re. the second issue, the fact that any track by an artist on a compilation does not show up in Album Artist when there is a full album by the same artist, that's intentional. To put it concretely for:
Album: Garden State, Album Artist: Various, Artist: The Shins, Title: New Slang

Artist Node > The Shins: shows the 'New Slang' track
Album Artist node > The Shins: doesn't show the 'New Slang' track as expected since this node is designed to show only Album Artists.
Artist & Album Artist node > The Shins: shows the 'New Slang' track

If you use the Artist & Album Artists node instead, it'll probably meet your needs.

Which version of MMA and MMW do you see this with?

Been using Mediamonkey for about a year on my Sony Xperia 1 Compact and overall happy with it. However, I've just found a bit of a glitch - when I synch over wifi, sometimes, not all the time, the album I have downloaded on my phone will upload to MMW, but without the album artist. It then automatically downloads the same album to MMA with an Unknown album artist, so that I have two versions of it - one with and one without the album artist. When I've corrected the album artist on MMW (all I have to do is click I to the field from Edit > Properties and it populates itself!) it then doesn't always synch the changes back to MMA.

The other thing I've noticed, which I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, is since the latest MMA update, any track by an artist on a compilation does not show up in Album Artist when there is a full album by the same artist... Any way this could be changed so that all tracks by artists that have full albums show up?
