Hello all,
I've been using the Mediamonkey app on my smartphone for a while now, and it's showing some strange behavior. I'll preface this by saying that i no longer use the standard OS on my phone because of bloatware and performance issues. Instead i have Cyanogenmod running on it, which works a charm, but also seems to have resulted in an issue:
Music will stop playing randomly.
There is never an indication of when this will happen, sometimes it'll play for less than a minute and stop, sometimes it'll play for a number of hours and stop. There seems to be no corrolation between me touching the interface or not, at what screen i left the interface, what band of type of file is playing or anything. And if i leave the phone untouched after it has stopped playing, media monkey will start consuming large ammounts of batteryjuice which will drain my phone in under an hour. The only way to prevent this is by rebooting the device, where during the shutdown process music will continue playing again briefly. So i know this is related to the OS, though it's given me no clues as to what process is killing MM.
Second issuet is the apparent tendency of the MM app to duplicate the artist tag of the songs on there. This also used to happen when i was still running the stock OS. When i open her up on my pc an album by the foo fighters will have some songs with the artist tag "Foo Fighters", then a couple will have "Foo Fighters; Foo Fighters" and some might go up to "Foo Fighters; Foo Fighters; Foo Fighters; Foo Fighters; Foo Fighters". I have no earthly clue as to what's going on, there's no order to this behavior. I always have randomize enabled so it wouldn't be playcount... I just have no explanation for this behavior.
Anybody recognize any of this?
Thanks in advance
