I haven't deleted the database, but did uninstall and re-install due to getting a DB error some days ago - it kept trying to upgrade the database and failing.

Pretty sure I had performed a sync though since reinstalling, maybe I hadn't!

EDIT - thinking about it, I deleted all the MediaMonkey folders in the user profile path, so did delete the DB, I obviously missed the UPNP Cache Folder!

C:\Users\andy\AppData\Local\Temp\MM_UPNP_Images it is cache for images served via UPnP (and WiFi sync), the only idea that I have that you deleted your MMW database (MM.DB) and re-scanned all songs (new MM.DB was created) and thus the track IDs were out of sync, could it happen like this?

Well, I seem to have fixed this.

I cleared all of the artwork files out of the various MM Temp folders on the PC.

Re-synced and all is good, and 8 correct artwork files are in the C:\Users\andy\AppData\Local\Temp\MM_UPNP_Images folder.

So, I cleared out the artworks folder, re-synced and the problem appears to be the files created in the artworks folder. I have 8 file for the 8 tracks, only 2 of these 8 are the correct artwork for the files.

The path the files are syncing to on both devices is
\sd card\Music\<AlbumArtist>\<Album>\<Disc#> <Track#:2> <Title>

Well that didn't work either!

I no longer have a separate jpeg in the folder, the tagged files show the correct artwork in a file browser, MMA still displays the previously incorrect artwork.

Looks like I may have found the problem, and it looks more like a MMW issue than a MMA issue - the files are syncing correctly BUT the albumart.jpg file created in the folder is incorrect.

I'll do a resync now with the copying art to folder disabled.

OK, this may help explain and also keep it simple

I am now only wirelessly syncing 1 manually creates playlist of 8 songs, rather than the full library

Screenshots of those songs on MMW, and on the HTC One M8 in Google Play Music, HTC Music App and MMA.

The only place where the artwork is incorrect is in MMA, but not for all tracks. This is repeatable on 2 devices and it is exactly the same 'wrong' artwork assigned on both devices, and the tracks that the incorrect artwork is from are not on the device.

I'll share an image from MMW and Google Play Music - basically MMA is displaying incorrect artwork for the tracks, yet the files seem to have synced OK as other audio apps on Android display the correct artwork.

I'm not sure I understand--in the image that you linked, there were 4 different albums with 4 different images--not 1 image assigned to 4 different albums ?

Or are you saying that the tracks in question all belong to a single compilation album or are all synced to a single directory (in which case [url=http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11919]this bug[/url] occurs causing all said tracks to appear with the same image?

If that's not the case, can you perhaps describe in greater detail exactly what's happening (and if possible create a set of e.g. 10 tracks that exhibit the problem and share a link to them with me via PM) ?

Also tried with rooted Tesco Hudl HT7S3 Android 4.2.2 freshly reinstalled and it is the same. It also appears that it is out of sync exactly the same - i.e exactly the same 'wrong' artwork is assigned.

All artwork in MMW is fine, artwork after sync to MMA (wireless or USB) is mixed up - wrong artwork with albums

Looking at the files using Google Play Music or HTC Music App and all artwork appears correct, so it appears to be a MMA issue
