Could you post your f_aac_codec.dll to ensure that it is the same version of the plugin? BTW: Temporal removing of f_aac_codec.dll could be a workaround as C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Plugins\f_alac_encdec.dll can also decode ALAC.

So I've purchased media monkey as an alternative to itunes to sync my ipod classic 160Gb after the dreaded 'failed to convert' errors.
