Hi,
It is very possible that for us others Multi CD Albums are added in MMW library by correct order :) which means both double click would work.

I've just tried it with the Led Zeppelin 4-disc boxed set:

1: double-click on the album in the column browser = tracks added to Now Playing in an interleaved state
2: double-click on the album artwork = tracks added to Now Playing in the "correct" state

So at least I now know how to get it to work. Strange that it behaves differently for other people, however.

And, for me there isn't. I have many multi-disc albums. For everyone that I tried (I don't have all day to do this and didn't try them all) when I was in Art & Details view - as Landlord appears to be - and double-clicked on the album cover, all the tracks were added to Now Playing in correct order - all of disc 1 in order then disc 2 in order and so on up to 12 discs with 169 tracks (I believe that is the largest I have).

Does Landlord have other multi-disc albums they could try?
This is true if your player is MM4W but if you sync with a phone, tablet or motorcycle GPS then you want the best sort order in the fewest clicks / tabs. This is why I often use playlists both to determine what is "sync'd" and the order they play.

Hi,
I wonder if full optimize would work for?

I'v done full optimize and it worked for me. Will try to make small video showing the steps.

The problem seems to be in the Column Browser when double click on an Album and has been fixed in MediaMonkey 5.
And why does it work for me (MM4 Vers. 4.1.29.1910 Gold)?
I can double-click the album in the column browser.
I can also double-click the album cover.
Both variants work for me.
The album titles are taken over in the correct order in NOW-Playing and started with the first title.

@ ElectricLandlord

If you want to play the entire album in the correct order Disc # - Track #:
NO DOUBLE-CLICK on the album in the album window (top-right) - ONLY ONE CLICK
and then DOUBLE-CLICK on ARTWORK.

(Shuffle Tracks: =OFF)

Another way to handle is to create a playlist for the multidisc album then add the playlist to the now playing / play next / play last.

I have used this technique where there is a preferred order of the tracks e.g. Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds.

OK, that seems to work but it's not all that intuitive. Maybe I'll take a look at the MM5 beta.

Thanks.

Hi,
You meed to double click on first track in Track listing and then it will be added in viewed order. Double click on Album window (top-right) the tracks are added to the Now Playing list in an interleaved order, because there is no sort yet applied.

Looks like behavior is changed as I can't replicate this using latest MM5 2265 Beta.

You can download latest MM5 at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 86639&sd=d

This is the screenshot of my player window. As you can see, the tracks in the album window are sorted first by Disc #, then by Track #. If I double-click on the album in the Album window (top-right), the tracks are added to the Now Playing list in an interleaved order.

You can use http://imgbb.com to post BBCode screenshots. If URLs are not allowed (for newer users) you can add spaces in the URL and we'll fix it.

I'm trying to post a screenshot, but if I click on the link in your signature it just takes me to the MediaMonkey front page, no detail of how to add a screenshot.

Files are added in the way they're listed. So, make sure they're listed in the correct order to start with. You may have to sort on Album. Then select all files and right click, Play (Now, Next or Last). This should add the files in their listed order.

If not, please add details as Peke asked, because this is how it works for me too.
