The solution was
Under Tools > Options > Library disable Only for files with changed timestamp or size, then rescan the folder for these files. Does that fix them for you?

You may have a mess of tags saved to the files themselves, where MediaMonkey updates 1 set and Plex read a different set. Providing an affected file to Support would help analyze this.

update: but it's not the ID3 tags. There's something going on with Mediamonkey on a few files and I know this because when I open these in PLEXamp they are reflected accurately. there's just a handful of albums but they refuse to show up in mediamonkey accurately but do in PLEX.

Please provide a sample to Support for analysis.

I'm uninstalling Mediamonkey and reinstalling....

update but i deleted the file and found a replacement for one of the ones giving me trouble, replaced it with FLAC from 320 MP3, and the exact same issue is coming up. Is it possible that there are ... cached system files?

filetypes are mp3 and flac

if i rightclick on properties and go to security i see four options: authenticated users, system, administrators, and users. system and administrators have full control, authenticated users have everything but special permissions, and users has only "read and execute" and "read". I went line by line to change the last one, users, to be "full control", fixed the data, clicked update tags, rescanned and VOILA, no information. Info all gone, again.

I have a few files that I've updated a few times and it isn't updating the metadata. the options are checked (can't figure out how to insert a photo for proof but the boxes are checked)


I've updated the information on these few files like 3 times and every rescan they come back with the bad metadata. How do I fix this?
