That error generally means MediaMonkey was still running (see Task Manager).

Can you please try with the latest MediaMonkey 5.1 beta and see if this issue is resolved for you?

Build 5.0.4.2693

Found MM was froze. Hand to end application and restart. On restart, got this message;
"Media server 'MediaMonkey Library' could not start: port 19069 is already in use. Check whether another instance of MediaMonkey is already running or change the port# in Options> Media Sharing"

In media sharing found "enabled"
Server name MediaMonkey Library
IP Automatic:19069
Status Stopped
Max cache 5000MB

IF it matters . . .
Just upgraded to Gold last night. didn't have this issue yesterday.
Program installed on Admin account, but running as standard user.

Which Build (Help > About) are you experiencing this with?

Application Error While Changing Genre for 20+ files

by Fender-Bender2 » Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:03 pm

For the second time this morning I have received this application error;

"Application throw an exception Exception EAccessViolation in module MediaMonkeyEngine.exe at 00000000.
Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000. Would you like to restart MediaMonkey in Safe mode?"

This time I was editing properties (genre) Don't recall exact moment. Might have just been clicking OK. Was changing genre of about 20+ files at one time.

What to do?
Thanks, Les
