A screencast may also help discover why this happens on your setup.
I just saw both replies tonight and haven't had the playlists get messed up the other day when i moved some newly added albums around. I have so much going on around here it's overwhelming trying to spend this much time troubleshooting programs when i can't even keep the house cleaning up and trying to get my photos and videos edited and uploaded. I have more projects then i can keep up with. I have ADHD so that makes it hard to get anything done.

but if it happens again I will try to log it. what is a screencast? is that another word for screen recording?

I didn't take a screenshot. if the forum would allow uploading pics like most forums it would be easier to upload. but to have to upload somewhere else and having to link back is time consuming and annoying reminds me of the early 00's. I got lucky the last few times i drug some albums around. I'm trying not to mess up the playlists again.

That webpage doesn't show the save playlist button and I can't find it. I've been using Media monkey for several years now and this is the first time the playlists started glitching up. I just tried to move some albums to be in order by date and now several albums are all mixed up again tonight. now i have to fix the playlist of 269 files and the more i move things around the more it scatters the songs out of order.

update: I can't fix the bug of it scattering everything around but I noticed the save icon at the top but it disappeared before i could click it. going to a diff playlist and back i had to resort it by clicking the date tab. rather then manually sorting since it glitches up. then i saw the save icon button again and i clicked it and it saved it. since it disappears and if i am not looking for it i won't see it. plus my peripheral vision sucks so i have to be looking right at something to notice it better.

and i installed the newest version last night. btw.

playlists corrupted

I was moving albums around on a playlist after adding more and now the more i move stuff the more shuffled up everything is and everytime i get half the albums put back together then a gremlin starts shuffling random songs all around till i have 4 albums all mixed up. i made a new playlist and copied everything from the old one to the new one and it did the same thing. if i try sorting by album then date it won't stay and when i go to another playlist and then back to it it is all scrambled up again. I have the 3106 version. I've now spent 36 mins of my bedtime trying to fix this crap. now i can't sync my new music to my tablet and phone because i don't want the playlists to get ruined on my phone and tablet.
