Unless it's not happening anymore you can capture it in a debug log. Just always have DebugView running prior to MediaMonkey start. If it happens, save the log and attach it to a Support Ticket.

I'm seeing the same behavior with 2024.2.0.3150. But I'm having trouble capturing it with debug because there is no repeatable way to induce it.

This version is giving me lots of trouble. Many reports sent to Microsoft after crashes. And one sent to MM via crash report.

Hi everyone

Since I installed the latest free version of MediaMonkey for Windows (file MediaMonkey_2024.1.0.3113), I'm having issue in opening the application in my 64Mb Windows 10 PC. The logo appears and stays still.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the exe file but the problem remains.
What can I do?

I see this issue as well, running MMW 2024.1.0.3113 gold on Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.5608.

Does switching back to the regular build lock up again, or also work now?

Naturally, when I find the debug version, it does not lock up.

I have the same problem. Locks up on splash screen and reports to Microsoft when I click on the splash screen.

Now I have to figure where the debug version is. Also tough to find on your website.

I've been using MM Gold for about 5 years on a Windows 10 PC and have loved it. I just upgraded the new release and it has been a Disaster. I've Uninstalled & reinstalled the program, followed the MM5.db renaming tip, tried the MediaMonkey_NoGPU tip all with no luck.
Most of the time (not always) I can get the application to run by double clicking an .mp3 file.
I think I'm going to reinstall the prior version. Any chance of getting a refund until this build settles down?

Same problem with 3113, though in my case it is intermittent. MediaMonkey launches 3 or 4 background processes but doesn't open. Have to force end these processes in task manager before trying again, which then usually starts normally.

Also noticed that sometimes when quitting MM after a successful launch 1 or 2 background instances remain running. Have to force end these processes before it will launch again. Gone back to 2024.0.0.3082 for the while.

We are not able to replicate, but can you install 2024.1 debug as portable and zip debug log in support ticket as described at viewtopic.php?t=86643 which should help us pinpoint exact point where MM stall in loading.

I Updated to MediaMonkey_2024.1.0.3113.
Only shows the splash screen, never loads the the program itself.
If you try to reopen the application by clicking the .exe of MM5 this only add another process (another instance) in the Windows task manager.
I got to go back to previous version mediamonkey-5-0-5-2695
