Hi all,
It's taken awhile, but we're ready to localize MediaMonkey for Android and would like to ask for your help with this! The plan is to add this to MMA 2.0.6 (2.0.5 is currently rolling out, so 2.0.6 should go to beta within weeks).
Given the advances in automated translation, we've done things a bit differently than in the past, and have used translation memory and AI to do the initial translation for several languages. Translators just need to review the new strings i.e. edit them if needed, and once satisfied change the status to 'approved'.
This can be done via
Weblate.
The initial batch of languages that we've worked on are Chinese (simplified), Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. Once we validate the process with your help, we hope to add more languages. If you're an existing MMW translator and would like to work on another language right away, please let me know.
If you haven't been involved in MediaMonkey translation in the past, please see
translation instructions here. First step is to create an account and get permission to translate a given language.
Thanks!
