I'm at a loss here, and looking for advise. Basically, is this a bug or am I doing it wrong and need to change how I use it?
My music collection has ~1800 albums, for ~19.6k tracks. I have the album art stored in the tag space on all the tracks. The problem is randomly, MediaMonkey, and I think it's the Android app not the desktop app, replaces the high quality art with low quality crap. I can have manually searched for or photographed a high quality image, typically at least 1000x1000px and apply it to all tracks in the album and delete low quality art from the metadata and save it. And then it'll revert back to low quality. Or I'll use the 600x600px art that came with the album (Amazon digital purchase, etc) and it'll get replaced with a 300x300 version.
There are also a few single tracks that will randomly show no art at all on the phone, but it's there on the desktop.
So, is this a bug somewhere or am I doing it wrong and need to go through my library and re-save the art to separate image files in the album folders instead of in the individual tracks' metadata?
So far as I'm aware, MMW does not automatically look up album art and I have the phone app to not do that either.
