Thanks for your help Lowlander. I have raised a support ticket and attached screenshots. Hopefully I will discover what is wrong.

You can do this with a Support Ticket, not here on the forum.

I have never used any of the sites to host images. It would be so much simpler to simply attach an image. I will look into it tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure that the files have that Genre? Please provide a screenshot showing both the Criteria you set and showing files (with Genre column) that shouldn't be there.

So I created a new autoplaylist with a new name
Match -ALL
Genre - Does not -Contain - Classical or Xmas

But it still does contain some

I guess I will have to live with this?

It works just fine here. Exclusions with doesn't contain will not have the files with that value. Do make sure you set Match correctly, likely you'll need All as value.

Hello Lowlander I can see this with criteria a bit like an excel formula, does contain/ does not contain etc. but is does not actually work.In the autoplaylist I have selected to not contain "classical" and "Xmas" in the genres, but it still does. I will do it again from scratch and see if it still happens. I have created a playlist with only one genre and that does seem to work.

This is possible in MediaMonkey. AutoPlaylists can be set to only include certain Genres or to exclude Genres.

You can do the same in Collections.

Genre based playlists

I broached this subject when I first got MM in 2024 and had no luck with a fix so actually resorted to moving some files to a different drive. However it is annoying that I cannot create a playlist based on Genre data. So here I have tried to have a playlist that has everything EXCEPT classical and Xmas. Maybe I am doing it wrong but I cannot see how. It certainly does not obey the instructions that I applied. I could add a screenshot as an example, but cannot see how to attach one. Any advice would be good.
