I have the Archos gmini 402e, this behaves the same way as the 400, 402, and 402cc.

So 4 more DAPs which work flawlessly with MM :D

In the last few weeks, I had the oportunity to test some MSI players. The following players from MSI (Micro Star Internetional) do work fine with MM 2.5.1:
- MegaPlayer 515 series;
- MegaPlayer 533 series;
- MegaPlayer 538 series;
- MegaStick 512 and 528.
So, anybody thinking about using one of these MSI mp3 players with MM - it should work just fine.

Other people also have problems using the Audible Otis player. It seems that a new firmware upgrade is the cause for that.
A CNET review mentions that it doesn't work with iTunes (anymore) either (well, for the mac version at least):

Hmmm, interesting.
Well unforunatly I personaly could not help you due to my existance is on the other side of the world parted with "Big Blue" :) and I can get my hands on player itself :(

From what I read Only theirs Manager Fills player with Music/AudioBooks?
Win Xp always recognize Device as unknown or only when Manager is not installed?

I answer to last q is Always and you can synch with device if manager is installed then there is very little what can be done unless driver for device can be found as in that manager itself access device.

Hi Peke:

Thanks for your response. I'll try to give you as much information as I can. The Audible Otis player is a nice slim device which for all practicle purposes worked flawlessly in downloading all kinds of audio books from their web site and into their Audible Manager. For what I can understand is that it has music capabilites as well. This I know due to the fact that according to Audible, you can download music to it. The unfortunate thing is that you are limited by their manager for transfering music as it only pertains to their specific audio books. In otherwords, this MP3 player was developed to use from books on their web site, This MP3 player has a very basic equalizer which shows up on a LCD screen built into the player indicating such selections as rock, jazz, classical, etc. According to the manual, it is supposed to work with Windows Media Player. When I plug in the USB connected, I am being told that it does not recognize the audio player. Of course I wish I had an iPod, but I will have to wait for that. The Otis player was free when you agree to become a member of their book club and purchase a minimum of two books a month. After that time, you own it. I just don't know what I can do to get this player to accept music from my CD's and even to download online such as iTunes, MM and even Media Player. I hope this will help you and I am going to include a quick start gude and users manual for the Otis player. Thanks once again for you response.

zzmel,
Can you provide more info about Otis Player e.i. How it is seen in Windows explorer or Total Commander, does it uses Drive letter,...

Have you heard about the Audible Otis MP3 Player

Hi:

Is there any way that I can download from MM to my Otis Player? This player served it's purpose when downloading library of audio books from Audible to the player. It works great for what it is intended for. Until I can afford an iPod, I have to use my Otis Player. What would I would like to know is how can I use MM to download songs to the player. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any information that you can give to me.

Best Regards,

zzmel

Ah ha, someone else is experiencing this too. I posted a comment in the Dell DJ Synching thread, but I'm having the same problem. For me, it's intermitent, sometimes its fast, sometimes its very slow.

BTW, it is a USB 2.0 device - even the 1st gen way old one.
