I created the vbs file and copied it into the Auto folder. When I open MM, I get a Microsoft scripts error. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Not Sure that I understand what went wrong ???

Can you elaborate.

EDIT: Have you tried Updated version of this script? http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =2&t=34637

Script seems to work pretty good.

I copied all of the script from the post into a NotePad .txt document. Saved it with the title AdvRepeat.txt into My Documnents folder. I copied it then renamed the copy as AdvRepeat.vbs . So now I have two copies. One in .txt format I can go and edit and one copy in .vbs format.

I then copied and pasted the file into the proper folder called "auto" which is under the 'Scripts" folders in the MediaMonkey folder under my Programs folder on my C: drive.

I rebooted the mediamonkey and you will see the little icon with the two green arrows. When you mouse over it , it says something about "repeat song".

The only real problem I see is that you click on that icon and you can NOT tell if the REPEAT function is ON or OFF!

So that's a little annoying.

So when you get to your favorite song. click play then click that repeat icon once and you're done.

Sit back and listen to your favorite song over and over!

Thanks to the programmer for this script!

Sincerely,

Jupiter Jim at JupiterJim.com

I want to let you people know that as of MM 3.1 this Script is absolute and will not be developed anymore.

Project is Transferred to this project.

This is driving me maaaad! I appreciate the help, though!
You have to remove the .txt from the file name.

Windows > control panel > folder options > click 'view' tab > uncheck 'hide extentions of known file types'.
AHA!!!

That works now!!

Thank you so so so much!! Yay!

for future information you might want to look at the code
in the first message.

you see the code window that it is placed in, inside the message.

there is no space on top or below the code.

if you copy the code and paste it in to notepad. and save it
and you see a blank space on top of the code.
or on the bottom of the code?

then you might not beable to get the code working.

i have pasted it in and got them blank spaces and found out
it did not work.
only to find that the blank spaces were stopping it.
so the code's need to be saved in the notepad
with out and blank spaces before or after the code.
just like it is in the code area in the first message in this thread.

the mp3's you can see must be labeled as .mp3.mp3 ?

C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\AdvRepeat.vbs

That is where I have the file saved.

On all my music files, I have the .mp3 extension. This is the only script that I have in the Auto folder. The other .txt document in the Auto folder is the 'auto' notepad file that I presume was there when MM installed.

On the AdvRepeat.vbs file, that is the name of the file. When you click on "Save As", it says "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\AdvRepeat.vbs.txt already exists. Do you want to replace it?".

This is driving me maaaad! I appreciate the help, though!

do you see any .exe or .txt or .mp3

or any .??? on any of your other files.

if you do not see any then you have your
computer set to hide the file extentions

and the only reason you see the vbs on that
one is because the computer thinks it is part
of the name of the file.

so you need to do this off line.

click on the word tools on the windows explorer
and then on folder options.
then on that panel you will see a tab for settings?

there are 3 tabs on it just click the second tab
it will show you the different settings you can
tell your computer what to do with in reason.
look for the option to show all file extentsions.

and select that option.
make sure you only select that option
and do not change the one for show system file
extentions.

you just want to change the normal non system
files.

then click the okay button
on the bottom right of the panel.

now look at that file again and you should
see the real .txt that is on the end of the name.
then you can change the name.

go back to the folder options and re check the
option to hide the file extenstions if you want to.

then come back on line and tell us what happened.
