Ok, the forum post here http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =scrobbler makes me happy :)

It now works properly, after choosing "Add player" during the install of the plugins, and then choosing the MediaMonkey path. (After removing the old Winamp plugin I had installed of course).

Can you tell me which version of the plugin you installed and how?

The Last.fm client works fine with MM for me-- shows context info,hate/love, etc... just fine...

Last.fm / Audioscrobbler integration (plugin)

Most media players I have tested on Linux or Windows (amaroK, Banshee, Quod Libet, Winamp, iTunes, WMP) have support (via plugins or directly included in the player) for Last.fm/Audioscrobbler

Problem is that none of the Windows programs are remotely as good as MM, and MM doesn't work very well with Last.fm ...

I can manage to make MM submit my tracks played via the Winamp plugin, but using the Last.fm client doesn't work as well as it should. The "Now playing" page is always empty (whereas in Winamp it displays contextual info on the current track) and thus I can't "love" or "hate" tracks I play locally.

So, my main wish is a fully working integration with Audioscrobbler/Last.fm.

If one were to enhance MM even more one could actually pull some of the metadata stored on Last.fm and display it in a pane. Using that data MM could suggest tracks in the local DB to play next etc.. amaroK does something like this.
