It isn't a fatal bug though, although normally quite fast agitated, i've learned to just walk away, i don't know if it eventually times out or it just processes very slowly, but if you give it time, it does finish.

(only use MM for Audio though, so my max size is 15-20mb or so

What release would that be? And when is it due?

I'm having the exact same problem.. I'm very excited about the program -but my first encounter was a little troublesome because of this..

EDIT: I had problems with some ogg and wav files..

Good News and Follow Up

That's Good News.

It seemed to just not like big wav files at all. Some of the files were around 120MB, so for one song a pretty big file. They were all downloaded from Beatport. Unfortunately, the files are too big to email, but as you have fixed the prob, then it probably doesn't matter.

Fixed and ready for next release :)

Does it crash on a specific WAV file or any WAV file? I\'m pretty sure Peke is interested in receiving a WAV file causing this issue. There have been improvements in the last version of MediaMonkey related to WAV, but maybe something is now causing an error in the scan process.

Not reading in files

I had exactly the same problem as everybody else on this thread.

I realised that it was certain Wav files in a couple of folders that were causing the problem, so i unselected those folders and it scanned around 10,000 tracks in about 4 minutes. The Wav files were ones I had downloaded from Beatport and play fine, not corrupted or anything, but quite big files, so maybe that was it!!!??? I Dunno :-?

But this bug caused me at least a whole day of aggravation.

I almost gave up and bought another program.

Are you using the latest version of MediaMonkey (2.5.4)? Have you tried creating a debug log as requested above? See more about creating a debug log in the Bug forum.

If anyone experiences a problem like this, please read top of bug reports forum, generate a debug log as described there and e-mail it to me.

Thanks,
Jiri
