all album just shown 1 album art

by mefirst » Sun Nov 12, 2006 2:48 am

i have similar problem but my phone itunes can display album art. the problem is only 1 album art display for all tracks and album. when i open uisng mediamonkey, album art still there (correct album art for each track). whats the problem??

Art work

by Thiago_Oliv » Wed Oct 11, 2006 1:18 pm

The new plugin recognized my ROKR, but just a blank space reserved to Album Work is shown at my phone:
After sync, I auto-tag the mp3 stored in the phone's memory from Amazon.com and save the album work at tag. And rebuild itunes database. The phone, instead of showing the album work, just put a blank space.
Anyone experienced this??

The first version of Motorola phones support was just released, check out http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12167

So far it seems it should be possible to support the phone using the iPod plug-in.

Thanks,

The USB_ID of the phone is VID_22B8&PID_4810

Hi,

Has there been any update on this? The motorola itunes structure and itunesdb format seems to be identical to that which is used by ipods but the music is stored in the mobile/audio directory.

Thanks

The folder structure is the following:

I:\iTunes\iTunes_Control\iTunes
I:\mobile\audio

When connected to the computer, just as an iPod, iTunes opens up automatically.
All the Folders are empty (in my Case) except for the iTunes folder inside of iTunes_Control which has the following files: iTunesDB, iTunesPrefs, Play Counts, Settings and winPrefs.
The extension on all these files is unknown, and they're all 1KB in size, except for iTunesDB which in my case is 23KB.

The other non-empty folder is mobile\audio which is, of course, where all the songs are.

The phone plays MP3 and I think AAC formats.

I don't have this phone, but if you post me some information, like directory structure, content of iPod_Control folder (is there one?), etc. I could try to modify d_iPod plug-in to recognize the phone and synchronize with it.

hmmmmmm, ok.... you can definitely transfer songs and playlists to the phone using MM and play them successfully with the Digital Media Player the phone comes with (just save the songs to mobile\audio in the media card). However, to play the songs using iTunes, you need to modify the itunesDB file in one of those itunes folders in the phone.... you can't really do this with MM unless you write up a script that does.

A way around this is to rebuild your playlist/itunesDB using Moto Tunes, but then you're adding one more step to the process and for that matter you might as well either do everything with Moto Tunes or with iTunes. However, you can't beat MM's highly configurable auto playlists.

I haven't been able to play with that much lately because i haven't been able to get around to the computer where i have all this software set up. When i do get to it, i'll let you know if i find anything new. Also, for your motorola phones, you can find tons of information on http://www.motomodders.net

Yesm i was able to play the songs using iTunes on the SLVR. I haven't played with that for some time, but if i remember right, you need to save the playlist of the files you're uploading into the phone. I can't remember right now where exactly to save it but i'll find out for you later.

using itunes on slvr phone

by johne » Mon May 29, 2006 2:42 am

I have a slvr phone also, were you able to set it up so that you can use the itunes software to listen to your mp3's? I have only been able to upload mp3's and use the other crappy mp3 player that comes with the slvr

Has anyone figured out out to upload songs to the slvr with MediaMonkey and use the itunes player on the phone?

Thanks,
John

I have the SLVR (candy bar version of the RAZR with iTunes) and it works fine... you just need to make sure the playlist is added as well to the phone, otherwise iTunes might not properly recognize the songs uploaded.

Razr/Rokr with ITunes support

by edgore » Fri May 26, 2006 2:52 pm

Just wondering - does the IPod support in media monkey also work with the motorola phones that have ITunes support? I'm thinking about getting the new razr when it comes out, but I have no desire to use ITunes.
