The library database and mediamonkey ini are stored in my documents\my music\mediamonkey.

Didn't work! Any other ideas?

Unless I missed something, the mediamonkey.ini file under /program files/mediamonkey only has 1 setting in it:

[out_ds]
cfg_total_time=54062940

That's it, nothing about playlists or folder lists.

Thanks.

In other words, when you delete playlists MediaMonkey fails to delete them from the Send To list. This is a known issue.

the send to playlist and send to folder targets are
stored in the Mediamonkey.ini file

there is a section

[SendToPlstHist]

and

[SendToFldrHist]

with some entries below. replace them with

[SendToPlstHist]
Count=0

[SendToFldrHist]
Count=0

and your ghost playlist names should be gone. :)

Playlist woes from a newbie

Hi there,

I've tried to search here and I've found some similar issues, but not quite the same problem (I don't think). Sorry if this is repetitive.

So as I was learning how to catalogue music and whatnot, I made the apparent error of clearing the library (aka deleting the database)...quite a few times.

Somewhere in there, I did create a few playlists. I understand (now) that clearing the library would also delete the playlists.

The challenge I'm having, however is that the names of the playlists still appear below the 'send to playlist' button and as part od the 'send to' option when you right-click on a song. So I finally have the music catalogued that way I want and I proceeded to add songs to the playlists I had defined earler, only to find that those playlists don't appear in the directory tree, and don't appear to actually be storing anything when I add to them.

So the question is: Is there a way to recover the list of songs I've added to the playlist since the last time I cleared the database? (again, while MM says it's adding a song to one of the user-defined playlists, there's no place to actually view or recall that playlist)

If not, how do I clear the existance of the few user-defined playlists that it currently shows so I can re-add them and have it work properly.

Thanks!
