Hello,
Recently I had to reformat my computer from some booting problems. Before reformatting, i made sure to back up all my music as well as MM's database file from the My Music folder. I also backed up all the input plugins that I had added to MM. After getting my computer running again, and updating Windows and all the drivers and all the programs, i installed MediaMonkey. Then I copied back the database file and the plugins to their original/respective locations in C:\. I tried MM again and everything played fine. After making sure that the play counts, ratings and all were intact, i proceeded to connect the ipod. The program recognized the ipod as always with the same synchronization settings as before. However, the little bar at the bottom that shows synchronization progress was only visible for a split second. I thought that there weren't any changes on either to synchronize.
I played around with both the ipod and MM for a while, and after connecting the ipod back to the computer, the same thing happened. It 'synchronized' in a split second, which i knew was not possible. I restarted the ipod, rebuilt the database, reformatted the ipod with a pc and with a mac, tried to synchronize with itunes (which it did just fine), then back to MM, uninstalled MM, reinstalled, installed official version, installed beta version, tried different installation paths... i think that covers it all. The ipod definitely synchronizes fine with itunes in both a mac and a pc, but for some reason MM just won't synch to it automatically, although it does read all of it's contents perfectly.
The interesting part now is that i CAN synchronize music to the ipod with mediamonkey only by right clicking a song or playlist and then SEND TO > IPOD. However, i can't manage to get it to work automatically or with the 'Auto-Synchronize' option when right clicking the ipod node.
I bet the solution to this is probably short and simple, but i just can't figure it out.
Thanks in advance,
DBARONA
P.S.: I also ran the debugger and when i try to auto-synch, it just throws a bunch of stuff that at first glance seems to be normal, except for a line every so often that says that c:\Windows\CDPlayer.ini cannot be found. Also, when initializing the ipod synch, it says that something like "IPOD Playcount file cannot be found" or something like that. I can't exactly check at this very instant.
