(MediaMonkey - Audio Library has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.)
i resolved the problem by uninstalling Quick time. Now MM works like a charm. The Best.

same problems

MM was working for about 2 weeks, i retagging thousands of mp3s, now out of the blue (after a windows update??) it crashes randomly after retragging one mp3 :-?

VISTA grr

tried all solutions listed above

by rebus03 » Mon Oct 22, 2007 11:21 pm

BTW., I tried all the solutions mentioned above for 2.5.5.98. I tried removing the in_cda.dll file, I tried running it as an administrator and I tried launching the program from an mp3 from a file folder instead of opening MM directly. None of the solutions worked :(

^^ I did a system restore to a point before where it was working, and it didn't make a difference. Any other suggestions? Really need help. How do I download MM3? Any other solutions to fix this? windows won't let me delete the in_cda.dll file, but I cidn't choose mediamonkey to support CDA files. Also, all my songs are in the English language.

having problem also

by rebus03 » Mon Oct 22, 2007 9:59 pm

I am having this problem as well, and it is really, really frustrating. MM 2.5.5.98 crashes when I play the 2nd song, saying the "Audio Library has stopped working".

I even went through the hassle of re-installing Windows to fix it, and after a little while, the same thing happened again. It had something to do with me re-naming a song or trying to play something while it was playing. It worked when I re-installed, but then crashed after a little while. I tried deleting MM and re-installing it, but that didn't help either. What can I do? Any suggestions? Or any alternative software you would recommend for synching with a Zen Vision M, where I can re-name files, sync, create playlists, etc?

:(

I have been using MM3 beta on Vista Ultimate 32 bit since February. Works perfectly.

Are you running MediaMonkey.exe as administrator? (I don't just mean in an administrator account, I mean setting the properties explicitly.) This makes it work fine for me.

Gav, did you ever find a solution? I'm suffering desperately from the same problem!

In my windows vista home premium i can play my songs as long as i want but it seems that the Library is not recognized. I am adding files to the library and then if i want to browse my library is empty..If i go through my computer e.t.c it works ok...

when we should expect MM3?

by TwiztidSinz » Mon Oct 01, 2007 11:55 pm

MM2.5.5 has worked for me on Vista with no problems.
Only thing i can suggest would be to check to make sure you have 2.5.5.998 and not an older version as anyone who seems to have problems is using an older version or doesn't specify.

I'm using English for a regional setting and have many songs with Japanese titles, zero problems with MM3.0b3 (I'm using MM3 exclusively) so things might be better with 3.0.

I got the problem as well...

I really love MediaMonkey, It is fantastic Software, better than all the rest, but... My Vista Home Premium (32bit) on my Acer Asp 5920 machine makes MM crash. I don't know if it is a Vista Issue, but it just doesn't work. It could play one track without problem, and then, when another song should be loaded, I get the Vista message that Media Library has stopped working.

The only way to solve the problem was to download the new version of MM, MM3, but... beta.

However, Media synchronisation in MM3 is not yet satisfying (It keeps going but at a certain moment, it just stops synchronising, still in a song. Result: Crash on plugging in the device...
I use a Zen Vision:M, works fine with other synchronisation engines)

But I still miss the Gold functionalities... :(

I've been running MM3 on Vista in alpha 4 it runs just fine. The only time i have had it continuously crash is when I tried to add the last.fm plugin to MM3. :D

Creative Zen Micro Will Not Sync With Vista

I posted in the Sync section and haven't had any response. I really don't want to have to use WMP to sync.
