It might be that she has a lot of protected files. If she's downloaded a lot of music from the itunes store, those songs won't come up in mediamonkey as it doesn't have .aac support. If they are mp3 files however, they should show up. .aac support can be added by installing the correct plugin, there was a recent post about it here:

Hmm. Are you sure you're selecting the correct folders that your music is in? I'm pretty sure you can right-click on a song in iTunes and see what folder that song is in. Also, when you go to File > Add, do you have the correct file types checked under "add file types"?

Another thing - maybe you just can't see the songs that you have added... Click on the "Artist" node under Library or the "Accessible Tracks" playlist, perhaps your songs will show up.

Thanks for the answer I did all that with my 20 yr old daughter but it would not work tried numerous times more help please

If you just want to move your songs (and not data, like playcount, etc) from iTunes to MM, just open MM and click File > Add/Rescan Tracks to the Library. Select the folders where your music is located, probably in My Documents > My Music, and press OK.

I an lost my wife bought me a swimp3 player & as a older novice with this technology.... As an newbie with mp3's etc I can not figure out how to move songs from Itunes to MediaMonkey.

Is here an easy way? Thanks for the help
