It's already checked by default. Actually when I make the tag changes by mediamonkey, I can see the changes using mediamonkey but when I swith to using my ipod, I don't see the applied changes.

It's like they use different databases or tags.

I think the setting you missed is here:

Tools/options/library/

check box: Update track info from tags when rescanning files

I make sure that my tags are the same in both ID3 1 and ID3 2. I think Media Monkey reads the ID3 1 tags and IPOD I'm not sure.
You also have to rescan after you make changes, and you might try this:
Tools/portable devices/Ipod/configure/device configuration/

Then check the box for update database based on all track changes (takes longer).

actually I don't know if syncching is the term, I just added the music from the ipod to the library

I cannot see the tag changes made from media monkey when browsing using the ipod. Is there a setting that I missed. And I noticed that the tags in the ipod that you see on its screen isn't the same on the tags that mediamonkey retrieved from it
