You can use itunes just for video, without any problem. Just set up itunes so that it doesn't open when you connect your ipod, and make sure it is set for manual, so it doesn't automatically try to synch. Then you can drag and drop your movies, and not mess with music.

You will need another application that can synchronize videos to an iPod.

1) You can't sync videos
2) You can't sync iTunes files (.aac, m4p, m4a.. etc) without a plugin, which can be found here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8197

Hello,

I am a new user of media monkey, and I have a Video iPod. I'm sick of using iTunes and want to know if there's anything I need to change to get my videos and music to sync up, also if I need any to convert anything.

Thanks,
iTunesiPodcrossover
