i got an email on this 2 years ago they still trying to close net radio?
any way they can get money the riaa companys will try.
the artists already know the companys don't care about them
the record companys won a lawsuit awhile back making all the songs recoreded by the artists undercontract be owned by the company. and if the artists want them recoreded they had to be under a contract. or the record company's manufatcturing plants did not have to make the artist's records.
the companys also got the songs copyright's for 35 years after the songs release then it goes to the singer/ songright or their family member if it was willed to them and if there are any alive.
if none can be found then the company retains the copyrights for life.
i said someplace else on here that the only artists that did not have this happen to them were the rich ones and the ones smart enough to buy them all back before the law took effect.
now they have to try and add something in to the contract to keep their songs.
but the riaa companys don't let that happen for the new singers and songwriters, and might not let it happen for the well known ones either.
hank jr. got his and his dad's song's copyrights.
but then who's going to argue with hank jr.
you seen how big he is?
the song from roy orbison comes to mind?
" anything you want you got it "
just don't pile drive me in the ground.
