but if that is the change that is causing drawing errors and buttons to not show up or not work. then go back to the other way filtering to the left, because clicking on the all link
every time is not as much a pain as not having the player buttons work.
Fortunately these two things are totally unrelated.

i agree with gab its a pain to have to keep going back to the first colume and clicking on the all to line them up.

so if they changed the track browser in alpha 4 that is good.

but if that is the change that is causing drawing errors and buttons to not show up or not work. then go back to the other way filtering to the left, because clicking on the all link

I support that, I liked more the old way, filtering to the left too......

I noticed that the behaviour switched to thw way known from iTunes. Is there any option to go back to MM Alpha3 way?

you have to click on the "All" at the top of the list. Sometimes one click and sometimes multiple clicks. I haven't quite figured it out. It sounds like they should have this fixed in the next alpha.

The way it is now, how do you get back to the full list on the left? It seems like once you delve down you can't get back up.

I hope it will be optional! I like the way now more.

by Teknojnky » Mon Apr 23, 2007 11:45 am

when is that gonna be? I havent been able to use alpha 3 much at all due to the scanning issues.

This should be in the next alpha release.

I would appreciate this as well.

As you click on entries in the Browser window the selections are narrowed to the right (as it should). For example if your first pane is Genre and you click on Rock, only the Artists tagged as Rock will appear in the 2nd pane. However if you click on one of the Rock artists in the 2nd pane, all the other genres are now hidden (ie. filtering to the left). The genre list in the first pane should stay as is so you can easily move between genres.

What do you mean, "filter to the left"?

I apologize for continuing to post the same bug however since none of the devs have responded I want to make sure it doesn't get missed in the flood of posts. PLEASE fix the Browser's current behavior of filtering to the left. The Browser is so useful for navigating my collection but the filtering to the left is incredibly annoying as you need to continually reset the lists. Thank you for listening.
