Well, in that case, ZvezdanD notified me that the software in question is CATraxx. As found here:
It is not free, you must pay for it, but I am told it has a 30 day trial. (I haven't yet tried it out).

They also provide software for databasing your videos, books, software and even your stamp collection.

The music software seems to be best for cataloging your cd/vinyl collection, not for having a library of audio files. But it states you can attach an audio file to each track in the database. Still, a lot can be learned from their tagging system.

Feel free to advertise any features from other software with the softwares name so that the other users and developers can see what you are referring too (and maybe try it out).

That's probably the best tagging system i have seen. What software did you get this screenshot from?
Well, I don't want to advertise another media catalog software in this forum, so I am answering you with private message.

Developers, please take a look on competative products about realization of multiple artists and other involved persons:

You seem to have found a 'bug'. Multiple artists might not be implemented yet for the library panes / collection browser.

Amen to that...

As for your comment on a second field for secondary artists, much like Steegy said, what if you have more then 2 artists? Wouldn't really solve anything. I still say the best support for Multi-Artist tracks I have found is Helium Music Manager, but Helium falls at the feet of MediaMonkey in terms of speed, so... :\
Helium Music Manager is a great example of how multi-track artist support could/should be implemented. I hope the devs look into this subject again.

The present implementation would be useless for me (although it would be compatible with WMP, but who needs that anyway).

1. You can't distinguish between 2 or more main performers and primary plus secondary (featured) artist with the current method.
2. The cover information (feat., with, presents,...) gets lost
3. The current method with semicolons as dividers simply looks plain ugly and disorderly.

Everything you say makes sense. I un-re-installed Alpha 5 and lo and behold A;B are now coming up as different Artist Nodes just like you said! However, they don't appear in the library panes - only artist A;B does. Oh well - have any of you had any luck with the library panes? And again, thanks for your help.

The Multi-Artist method I described has worked for me since MM3A1, still works today in MM3A5, so not sure what could be the problem with yours.

P.S. Why can't someone just put in a separate field for a second artist and have the song come up in that artist's node? I know that they have a field for other involved artists, but of course, this doesn't bring the song up in that artists node. I also know that this topic's been talked to death, so I appreciate your time!
Then what if there's a third, forth, ... artist?

BTW: It works for me, using MM3 A5 (1045). I just rename track's artist A to A;B which causes the track to appear for artist node A and B.

I must be doing something wrong. I've been testing all the MM3 Alphas and can't get what your describing to work. I just type in say, "Bird & The Bee;Inara George" and the song comes up under artist "Bird & The Bee;Inara George," not under each individual artist??? Can you recommend what I'm doing wrong? I've been dying for the ability to do this for a mighty long time...
Thanks

This is already supported in MediaMonkey 3.0alpha.
If you have, say, "Beautiful Liar" by "Beyoncé feat. Shakira", just put "Beyoncé;Shakira" in the Artist field and the song will appear in both "Beyoncé" and "Shakira" Artist nodes.

Edit: Mizery_Made was faster than me :)

in 2.5.5? No. 3.0 will make improvements in this area, though it's only currently in Alpha testing. The 3.0 Alphas are currently using the method of "Artist1;Artist2" to accomplish this.

If your interested in testing the 3.0 Alphas, best read the information about backing up and all that snazz in the 'MediaMonkey 3.0 Testing' topic before doing so.
