I would have thought the ITC header stopped a normal image program from interpreting the JPG information, but maybe not. This would involve reading the iTunes database to get the unique library ID to match the image file to the metadata. Could probably be done...

As far as I recall you can merely batch-rename the iTunes-files to jpg and then they're alright. As I see it, the real challenge lies in connecting the right images to the right tracks. What would be interesting in my opinion would be if it was possible to gather that information from iTunes and import it into MediaMonkey - as this task is the most time-consuming one.

The album art downloaded by iTunes is not embedded in the music file, but is saved as an itc- file not readable by other applications that I know.

I did this the manual way - album by album:

Copy the art from iTunes, paste to a picture editor (IrfanView or whatever..), save as jpg and finally embed using MM.

Took me some hours, an automatic routine would be welcome...
