Please update to the latest 2024.2 release as that should fix the issue.

Media Monkey 2024 stalls/hangs on start up. While the opening ID screen is displayed. Task manager shows nothing in Apps section. however, Mediamonkey 32 bit is shown in Background processes. I close the splash screen with task manager. On next try MM comes on like normal. No Hang. Runs with about 5 background processes. Whats with 32 bit designation? Is there another 64bit version around? This sequence has not happened about 6 to 8 times in the past month. But not always.

Since I put computer to sleep usually, this may be reason MM works most times. Possibly something that makes this hang only when I start it the first time after a reboot. (Win 10) computer. Ver 3113.

Add me to the 2024.1.0.3113 Gold not loading. Deleted it, reloaded it. Same. Never an issue previously.
Used the open a MP3 from my files with success as a work around.
Read https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... p?t=107365 & downloaded 2024.2.0.3178 and all appears well. In fact it might be the fastest I've seen it open! Well done!

Unless it's not happening anymore you can capture it in a debug log. Just always have DebugView running prior to MediaMonkey start. If it happens, save the log and attach it to a Support Ticket.

I'm seeing the same behavior with 2024.2.0.3150. But I'm having trouble capturing it with debug because there is no repeatable way to induce it.

This version is giving me lots of trouble. Many reports sent to Microsoft after crashes. And one sent to MM via crash report.

Failure in opening Media Monkey

Hi everyone

Since I installed the latest free version of MediaMonkey for Windows (file MediaMonkey_2024.1.0.3113), I'm having issue in opening the application in my 64Mb Windows 10 PC. The logo appears and stays still.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the exe file but the problem remains.
What can I do?

I see this issue as well, running MMW 2024.1.0.3113 gold on Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.5608.

Naturally, when I find the debug version, it does not lock up.

I have the same problem. Locks up on splash screen and reports to Microsoft when I click on the splash screen.

Now I have to figure where the debug version is. Also tough to find on your website.

I've been using MM Gold for about 5 years on a Windows 10 PC and have loved it. I just upgraded the new release and it has been a Disaster. I've Uninstalled & reinstalled the program, followed the MM5.db renaming tip, tried the MediaMonkey_NoGPU tip all with no luck.
Most of the time (not always) I can get the application to run by double clicking an .mp3 file.
I think I'm going to reinstall the prior version. Any chance of getting a refund until this build settles down?
