Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, it does not work for me, and the log file is rather lengthy.

Also, I was looking for more than just play/pause/next, but rather the whole control (setting favorites, selecting playlist or individual tracks, etc).

Ideally, if the user interface part of MM5 could be made to connect to a remote server....

Hi,
I think that this is something you are seeking.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/play-next-pause/ It worked when I tested it.

Control MediaMonkey server from another Windows PC?

Hello all,

I can control my MediaMonkey server at home from my phone using MMA Remote, but I was wondering how I could do the same from a Windows PC?

My setup is that I have a server PC running MMW 5 connected to a Sonos "Port" device, and multiple Sonos device in the home. So once I tell Sonos devices to listen to the Sonos Port, I can then control the music played by Sonos devices from my phone using MMA Remote. But I was hoping there would be a way to have Windows app to do the same without having to reach for my phone, which is not always near.

I can always do a VNC remote to the server, but a "Windows version" of MMRemote would be much simpler. Any suggestions? I could not find a way to use a local MMW to control a remote MMW. Please note that I don't want to stream audio to my local PC, I just want to remotely control what the MMW on the server plays to the Sonos Port.

I could always install Bluestacks and run MMA Remote, but I was hoping for a more Windows native solution.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Dan.
