It probably can't be called a standard, but it seems to be the only consistent approach to the problem and so MM will support it in version 3.0.

foobar2000 is a good example. It stores the info consistently in ogg, flac and wma files with tag fields

REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN
REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN
REPLAYGAIN_PEAK_GAIN
REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_PEAK

For id3 they store in TXXX frames with the REPLAYGAIN* descriptions.

Not certain how standard this is but upon a quick Google I see it out there quite a bit.

Do you know exactly the name of field where to store ReplayGain? I know WMP stores some leveling values, but I suppose that they are in a different format. I don't think there's any other well accepted standard of storing RG in WMA, or is it?

Why no REPLAYGAIN tags in my .wma files?

I've applied MM's ReplayGain to my files. The tags appear in my .mp3's, .ogg's, .flac's but not in my .wma's? Why not? I understand that the values are written to MM's db but why not put them in the .wma tags as well especially since they're written to the other file types? Is this a bug?

Thanks,
Mike
