It's such a pity because I like MM. At least I could use it to organize my files, but I'd like to throw out Itunes.
Info: 80gb brand new ipod, all updated. I don't have 'force I tunes style' or truncate names turned on . . .
I had it working and running, but after I fixed thousands of file tags using MM i decided to wipe the drive and reload using MM. Mp3's, not file protected. I reload everything fine, rebuild the database for good measure. Just like the above problems: MM and even Itunes will play the files off of the ipod, but I eject and put in my headphones- and nothing plays.
My Ipod 'looks' at songs for a moment, then decides not to play it, only to move along and decide not to play the next song an instant later. I am about to (again) wipe my songs and pod, but this time reload via Itunes.

I was soooo loooking forward to deleting I tunes.
Anyways. very interested in how to resolve this.
